About HDS Australia

Established in Adelaide in 1988 and originally trading as Highway Design Services the company first specialised in the provision of road design services to state road authorities and other major engineering consultants throughout Australia. In 1990 services were expanded to include the development of quality management systems for the civil construction industry. In the same year the company began introducing road pavement management systems to local government covering data collection and analysis together with the modeling of road behaviour in support of strategic planning and operational decision making.

With the acquisition of Eagle Consulting Services Pty Ltd in 1994 expertise was gained in computer graphics information management and geographical information systems. Regional expansion occurred at the same time with the opening of a permanent office in Melbourne and the subsequent establishment of additional project offices in both South Australia and Victoria.

Over the past decade HDS Australia has forged a strong reputation as a specialised consultancy that can provide high quality services to all levels of government and to the private sector in a cost effective and professional manner.
