Thiess John Holland is an unincorporated joint venture between Thiess Pty Ltd and John Holland Pty Ltd formed specifically to undertake the design and construct component of EastLink for ConnectEast.

Thiess is a wholly owned subsidiary of Leighton Holdings Limited and one of Australia's largest engineering and services providers with a well-established and successful history in major road projects. Its annual turnover in 2004/05 was $3 billion.

John Holland is one of Australia's most eminent tunnelling contractors as well as being a diversified construction contractor and provider of operations and maintenance services to the rail telecommunications building and heavy engineering sectors. Annual turnover for John Holland in 2004/05 was $1.7 billion.

Thiess John Holland draws on the collective strength of Thiess and John Holland in resources financial foundations expertise and experience in major road projects. Thiess and John Holland enjoy an excellent working partnership and are currently completing the design and construction component of the $1.1 billion Lane Cove Tunnel in NSW.
