Engineers Australia is proud to announce that 2011 is the Year of Humanitarian Engineering

I’m currently on the ABB Graduate program. For the next two years, every four months, I will be rotated within several divisions of ABB Australia. The work required of me in these rotations may include engineering, technical, project management, legal, and finance.
ABB is a world leader in manufacturing power and automation technologies. The reputation of the company is strong and positive worldwide. When I heard about the uniqueness of their graduate program I was positive that this is what I was looking for. In addition, I saw myself working in the company long term.
From an early age, I always found myself interested in gadgets and technology. During my high school years I enjoyed maths and the electrical side of physics. Therefore, doing electrical engineering was an easy decision. Over the past four years, I did vocation work at many companies. These include Anglo Coal Australia, Ergon Energy and Areva Australia. During my time at these companies I developed a passion for project management and manufacturing. I researched companies who were leaders in this field and I came across ABB.
